The Long Way Home

// Plot_Synopsis

During World War I, 90 thousand Turkish soldiers lost their lives at the Battle of Sarikamish, many of them freezing to death on the vast, snow-covered hills of Eastern Anatolia. In the silent cold, among scores of frozen bodies, a man (Ugur Polat), a woman (Nergis Ozturk) and her daughter (Myraslava Kostyeva) slowly march. Along with four other survivors, they seek a path from the desolation towards the warmth of home. But the group's initial solidarity erodes as hunger, class tensions and the need for survival challenge their humanity.
